The Wave Service initiative is the result of a comprehensive community engagement process conducted in 2022 and 2023. Wave Service will be rolled out in two phases, with the first phase beginning in December 2023 and the second in 2024. Watsonville Circulator Route - Powered by all-electric zero emission buses

Santa Cruz, CA (September 1, 2021) — Santa Cruz METRO announced that it has been awarded a $489,213 grant from the California Department of Transportation’s Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) to launch a new “circulator” route that exclusively serves stops in Watsonville. A circulator route provides services in a loop format. The service will provide 16 daily round trips, seven days a week, 52 weeks out of the year.
